i have a 3 piece grill delete coming in the mail tomorrow. so i decided to pull it apart tonight. aside from losing my 7mm wrench down the foam brace and into impossible to retrieve territory  it went fine.

here is a pic of the radiator cover? is this the correct piece for the mach delete? i have a step by step install i saved, and the cover is different from that. i was under the impression that it was either there or not though, so im wondering why mine is different.

while i have someone who knows these looking. i only need to go purchase the nylon bushings for under the insert, a tamperproof torx bit, and the screws for the running pony, correct?

thanks, btw, this is the guide im comparing everything to: http://members.cox.net/red9r/Installations/Mach 1 Grill.htm

No that is not the "correct" backing piece, it lacks the part that goes over the blue metal and it doesn't have the hole cutout. But if you don't want to buy one it will look just fine, i only got a 2 piece from www.50resto.com , they also give you a normal screw for the attachment of the pony... trust me you don't need tamper proof, if someone wanted the pony they would just rip the sh1t out.

50resto gives you pal nuts, they are pretty secure but fairly hard to get on. You might want to clean that radiator piece off before you install the grille delete.

i will be cleaning it, i have a 3 piece kit coming. i was just wondering if ill be able to sell the third piece or ill need it.

i have a tamperproof screw holding that piece onto there now is what im saying. i wouldnt waste my time on them believe me lol. its there, so ill have to buy a bit tomorrow just to remove it.

im fairly certain the kit i bought includes no hardware as well, so it sounds about right just needing the nylon spacers and screws for the pony then.

thanks
