i call a shop to get my gt40 iron heads freshened up. they said they would resurface them polish and change the vavles. the total cost $480...is it worth it?

well that's almost half the cost of a good set of aluminum heads... If they were doing some porting I would say go for it.

i paid $180 for my machine shop bill. they were resurfaced, cleaned up, and a valve job. do you really need the new valves? how much are the valves?
