Ok...went auto crossing this weekend and two days of constant 6500 rpm revving (in 2nd gear) I blew out the seal on the back of the intake manifold. It's not too bad but at high rpm's it shoots oil onto the bell housing and back to the cats. Before this happend I used to pop up the pcv valve and get oil all over the hood and firewall at high rpm's. I figured it wasnt a snug enough fit so I wrapped electrical tape around the valve to get a snug fit in the grommet and it didn't pop up anymore. But then my dip stick would pop up and shoot oil all over the drivers side header and make a mess. Similar fix on that one and after that the car ran fine (not much high revving)...until this weekend. I'm guessing with all that abuse and the dip stick and pcv avenue's cut off....the crank case pressure blew the rear seal out. Any ideas as to why this is happening (the excessive crank case pressure)...oh and I dont want to hear that its the rings...the motor has only 6-8k miles on it so far. Any ideas, suggestions, and personal experiences would be really helpful right now. I know stock motors made power only up to 4500 rpms and this is where my problem starts. I guess ford never needed to fix this problem if it is a common occurance. Thanks for the replies guyz.
I.ve always wanted one of those or an SVO to road race. I love light cars.
I'll give you a call tomorrow "if you even read this tonight." Oh and it turns out that my TPS was pinching the hose from the airbox to the VC. Before I get a breather I'm gonna try rerouting that so it actually has some flow. If that does not get rid of the problem completely I will put on a breather.
