you gonna be at the Autorama show this weekend? I will be there all three days. I will have my 68 in the show. The stock looking gold one (nicknamed Goldmember). If you see a short guy with a mullet, that's me. Make sure to introduce yourself.

you can go find a 2001 (i think thats the year) red Lightning that is all decked out, its my uncles. Hes won about 60 trophies with it. it has the chrome supercharger, roll pan, toneau cover, powder coated subframes, etc

I have locking hood pins on my steel hood! I've seen what a steel hood can do to a car when it unlatches. Go to the drags and see how the cars attach their fiberglass hoods. Many Dzus fasteners on all four sides of the hood! Glad to hear no one was hurt.

What the heck is a Dzus fastener?

Dzus fastener= Mechanical fastener used to hold aircraft cowlings together. Migrated to racing cars. A quick release fastener that works somewhat like an old Mustang tail lampsocket and bottom half of the lightbulb. Tangs on a barrel fit into locking keyways.
