Okay all, I was pretty dead set on a Turbo setup, but now I don't know. I need some real world advice.

I am torn between Kenne Bell and a Procharger. When I drive, I drive a bit hard, and I love to cruise. Car never gets over 180*, and is very well taken care of obviously.

I like the turbo, but all the kits I have seen require some cuts to be made that I am just not comfortable with. I don't like cutting on the car. Plus, with the kenne bell, I can make some cash back selling parts off. Intake, TB, etc......

The blowers seem like I would only need injectors, fuel pump, and a good tune. Those of you with experience, lets have it.

I am leaning to Kenne Bell, but the non-intercooled issue bugs me. How effective is the Snow Meth kit at cooling air temps? Reliability, though the car only is driven 1-2K a year.

Any and all help is appreciated. This is a tough call. I don't want to make the wrong decision.

As always, thanks in advance..................

I have a Kenne Bell right now and I LOVE IT!!! Instant power and neck snapping torque make it really fun to drive. But............. now that I see the power people are making with turbo's I wish I had two of them Kenne bell by way of supercharger definelty. BTW, I have seen a few people make a custome intercooler for their KB.

I noticed you have an intake spacer. Did that allow you to run a Aftermarket AFR. I would really hate to lose mine, but might not have a choice. Looks like I am going the Kenne bell route. I know I saw some pics of you car, but am having trouble finding them. Mind reposting them?

The only reason I'm running the intake spacers is to clear my tall VC's. Otherwise the KB would mount right down on the lower intake manifold. Don't know too much about the AFR, just that I don't have one. Sorry. Anyway's heres a pic.

FYI, my 1.8L KB and Snow Meth kit are for sale if you are interested. $3000 takes the KB with the injectors and lower and a bunch of other stuff, $200 takes the meth kit.

email me if interested

more KB pics ... here's a pic of mine when it was in JR's car:

here's one when it was in my car (not even in the same league as the other guys):

Love the pics. You guys think and Aeromotive FPR would fit with the blow/flowzilla? That is my only concern right now.

BlackVert, I already made the order. Got a screamin deal too. I am really not interested in the full polish either. I do appreciate the offer though. I just don't have time to deal with that much bling under the hood. Its a full time job keeping my car clean............

Thanks for the info so far. Have any major drivability issues before the tune?

I plan on running 100 octane, got a local distributor here, to prevent any major issues. If it turns out to be more fuel than I need, I will start mixing. I have a wideband kit to moitor until I have time for a really good SCT tune.

I would be weery running 100 octane, since it's leaded your O2's may be more prone to failer. Something to think about.......

Thanks for lookin out. Rocket Brand makes unleaded 100 ocatane. I was concerned about that too. I may not even need it. We will see. I only plan on 8#s until I get the tune sorted out and completed.

I only have about 8 gallons of the stuff laying around right now.

I have been fighting back and forth over the whole issue. I can't go bigger than the AFR 165s on the stock bottom, so, I will just wait until my motor has some miles on her, or until something breaks. I can always transfer the blower over. If I don't get the heads I want, there goes a bunch of cash. I just want to be able to remove everything and place it on the new motor when the time finally comes..........

KB FLOW/BLOW, 8#
75mm BBK TB
Still having a hard time on the MAF and Intake choice
42lbs inj, not sure from where yet
255lph in tank pump for now
I have the dynojet wideband, hoping to keep A/F safe with that for now. (car might see 500-800 miles till the full tune)

Anyone have a better option than the MSD BTM setup?

Get yourself the TwEECer R/T and tune yourself.

Make sure you get a cam of some sort. I got a crane 2031 cam, but an Ed Curtis Custom cam would be better. 1.7 Rockers with stud mount for those heads would be best with the 2031 cam.
