Well, I ordered my first mods for my stang. I ordered 3.55 gears and a Pro 5.0 short shifter.
Also looking into the MAF conversion. How mush did it cost for, any of you who did, to convert?

BTW My shifting is really hard unless I have the clutch slammed against the floor. Does this mean that my clutch is bad. or just the spring?

if you change the fluid to full syn it will help but it wont solve the problem

mass air kits from ford are like $550. you can piece them together for around 250, harness goes for 100 usually, computer is 80+ if you get an a9l for 5-speed, then you need the inlet tube, mass air meter, and electronics.

normally piecing it together is easier but i tried it once and there were some complications because of the difference in mass air years, and theres no diagram when you piece it together to help so your screwed pretty much.

i just got a mass air conversion from ford that im not going to use, its brand new still. has the conversion harness which is only 4 wires instead of whole engine bay harness, inlet tube, mass air meter, electronics, computer, and instructions everything you need.

cant get into serious mods for awhile since i dont have a job yet, so im selling it to pay for my new tires. if your interested in it PM me, ill sell it fairly cheap and you can pick it up.

From driving alot of different stangs I can tell you that clutch is awesome.. Who did you get the pro 5.0 from? I also could have gotten that for you along with the gears.

I wouldn't bother with a conversion yet -- there's alot you can do and still run SD. All it will get you now is an empty pocket.

I just ordered from Jegs cause I talked to John at Blue Oval and he was going to charge me $269 or so for the gears and like over $200 for the shifter. I know it was way more then what Jegs charged so I ordered from them. I remember you told me that you could get stuff for Summitpricesand I tried to talk to you, but you were out, and he was going to charge more then what you said when I first talked to you.

Well, you prolly havent since I dont drive in it that much....yet. It is a darkish red on top and the the GT body kit is grey. If you have seen it, it has the 7 tips comming out the back, well at least until next weekend.

7 tips?! Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen it. There's a black LX coupe and a '85-'86 GT that drive by my family's shop all the time.

change the trans fluid, drive a few hundred miles, change it again, repeate a few times. cory had the same problem and it has made a world of difference

Well, exhaust came in the mail on Friday, very very nice. I love the SS mufflers too
