I just got back from the drag strip and I am very discouraged and pissed at the same time. When everyone else seems to be getting better at the track with each time they go; I seem to be getting worse... My first time ever to the track (very first run) was a 14.2something. My average was a 14.3 and my best was a 14.0. The second time at the track, my average was a 14.5 and my best was a 14.3something. Now, my third time to the track, my average was a 14.6 and my best was a 14.4something. (The best by the way was my first run of the night) I feel like just giving up. I can't drive!! I know my car can do 13's if I could just drive better but all I know how to do is push the pedal to the floor. Shift at about 6000 rpms and put the pedal to the floor again. I don't know if my sucky times are because it is cold (about 40 degrees) and my stock tires are spinning badly in 1st and 2nd or what. I tried telling myself to feather the gas and the clutch but when the lights start, I just go back to stomping the gas until I can't press it anymore. Anyways, thanks for letting me ramble and blow off some steam.
