J-MOD + TRANSGO SHIFT KIT??

I'M GETTING READY TO DO THE J-MOD TO MY STANG AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT'S POSSIBLE TO DO THE J-MOD AND THEN DO THE TRANSGO SHIFT KIT??JUST CURIOUS, THANKS

Why would you want to do the Transgo after the J-mod? The J-mod will firm up the shifts and is safer than the transgo.

Its the same mod. Only difference is the J-Mod is free.

The j-mod is modifying the stock seperator plate
Trans-go is replacing the seperator plate..

That would be like putting in super-white headlight bulbs, then switching to HIDs.

I suggest j-mod.


However, you can add an 'electric' shift kit afterwards. One of the gizmos that boosts the EPC solenoid pressure in the transmission.. These are a little safer once you have a good seperator plate.

(quick lesson:
seperator plate/valve body modifications open the path for fluid to flow wider without increasing trans pressure

electric shift kits force the fluid through the openings with higher pressure but are harsh on the trans)
