Does anyone know of a shop that does the J-Mod on an exchange basis? My trans in my 97GT is leaking and figured while Ive got the pan off I might as well make a change and Ive seen the wright-ups and there is no well in hell I feel comfortable doing it my self to my low mileage trans.

tri5333:

bc-automotive.com is top-notch, imho. Darrin (owner) knows about everything there is to know about auto trannies and the tuning of them, to boot.

Thats the problem, nobody seems to do this. BC automotive wants $250.00 but Brothers performance sells a new valve body for $269.00. I think before I spend $250.00 on a rebuilt one Id get the PA from Brothers. Anyone with insight on the PA.

tri5333:

Call Darrin and ask him for details about the valve body. PA is not necessarily doing all of the things in the J-mod although you could call them, too, and ask for details. Personally, I would not have any reservations about a "rebuilt" v/b from bc-automotive. For info, Darrin posts on several boards and offers good tech and advice based on his experience and acquired knowledge. He will answer his phone, too, to answer questions, unlike some other shops.

Peace.

A-Train = Anthony Frusco. He is a good egg, imnsho. I lost track but I think he still lurks at TCCoA.com.
