Jacking up car

Where do you suggest jacking my 68 mustang up from, the body rails, lower control arm, or where??

I use the frame rails.

Put a 2x6 on the jack to avoid bending the rails up worse than most usually are.

Good call on the 2x4, also i use the frame its self

Depends on what i'm doing. But generally it's the frame rails. Sometimes I'll lift it by the rear axle.

In the rear, the middle of the rear end. In the front, the lower control arm and/or the engine crossmember. I no longer use the frame rails since I jacked it up one day and the frame rail went through the floorboard; had to replace both.

The front cross member and the center of the rear end. Be carefull not to catch the rear of the oil pan when doing the front.

raise it from the crossmember or the frame rails in the front. The pumpkin in the back with jackstands on the axle tube.
