Anyone ever used one on their fox? I came across a ultra coil, and wondered how well it would work, and when you did use the coil, what did you gap your plugs at? I've heard .10 over stock, due to the increased spark from the ultra coil. Here's what I got:

Thanks I appreciate it guys.

hahaha...yeah it's about 4 inches high, 3inches deep, 3 inches wide. Picked it up for $40, if I want it. Just not sure on what I should gap my plugs at? I've "HEARD" to gap them .010 above stock but I don't know how much truth there is to that. Or should I start on the high side of the stock gap? which is .050-.056

You will have to cut your coil plug off as well to make that work. Personally I would get an msd coil. Plugs right in, is about the same price, and fits in the stock location with no mods needed to fit

i have the same one, i bought it years ago, i never gap my plugs i have bosch +4 plugs, i read on the internet somewhere that coil was tested against other ones & it was the best. there are different versions of the ultra coil but the one you have w/ the black ground wire is the best of them all

Years ago I bought the complete Jacobs ignition kit. It came with the huge coil like you have have in the pic. I did have my spark plug gap set to about .050 - .056. It has worked great for years.
