Jerking and sputtering in reverse

Today I drove my car to the mall and it did fine. I got back out and put it in reverse; it starts to jerk and sputter as I backed it up; almost stalling. Put it in drive and drove on and it was fine but then the service engine soon light came on. Its not over heating , so I'm thinking vacume leak?

Before all this happend, I did bottom out over a speed bump.

Any other suggestions?

I would get the code read at Autozone, then let us know, or look on codereader.com or a site like that to investigate the codes meaning.

I'm not sure what bottoming out would cause, except maybe something to jar loose.. however I can't think of anything offhand that would cause only reverse to act strangely.
