Jet Hot Coating

I like Air Born Coating myself. http://www.airborncoatings.com/

$225 inside and out and they have a new shop up the road from you in NC. Lots of NASCAR teams use them, the guys that started the company originally worked at HPC and one of them was the founding chemist for HPC so they have a LOT of years of experience as in the old days, HPC was the only game in town.

Plus, people that don't put prices on their websites worry me anyways.

Find a local shop that you can take them too. My headers and X section and mufflers are being coated right now. The headers are going to have a polished aluminum look, but the X section was too big so I'm just going black on that. I'll post pics next week if anyone is interested.

skywalker, you might also PM or Email Shane, aka allcarfan as he is in Albany and does powdercoating (I think he uses an Eastwood kit) but I'm not sure if he can do headers or not in a high temp coating. (Not sure if he can get it and if he can, I'm not sure how well it performs as I don't know where it comes from) But it's worth a shot.

I've had quite a bit of stuff done by jet hot. They are reasonably close to Atl in Pascagoula (sp?) MS.

I DO NOT like the "Sterling Coating", but my bmw has some blue, black and plain silver stuff on it that is over 10 years old, and looks very good. I'm about to send some Sterling coated headers back for a recoating, we will see how well they perform on warranty stuff soon.

The price is comparable to the 225 quoted above.

There is also a place in Atlanta that a freind has had some stuff done at and been pleased. "Metalcoaters" IIRC.

I wont coat headers and gurantee them. I have tried high heat powder and it doesnt ever flow out, it stays grainy and flakes off.

If you are sill in Atlanta, I can point you in the right direction for jet hot coating. You are looking at about 185-225 to have them done inside and out.

nice...i wanted my boost pipe and blower tube that goes to the TB jet hot coated siince i need to have it painted anyway. do you think any place can do that for like $200?

I'm sure they can. I was quoted approx $200 for my X section. The X section is just short of 6' over all length, goes from the headers, into the X, back to (and including) the mufflers.
