Patriots played very well today I was pleased. Giants won but they looked like they needed 3 more weeks of preseason. 4 turnovers..wow h.S teams dont even have that many turn overs.

Could someone tell me why Calvin didn't catch the ball? It was on the line-up in Sportscenter but mysteriously was gone after the segment before it was done.

It has something to do as how the rule is written. The ref's called it a no catch according to how the rule is written but the rule is not written in a way that makes common sense. The ref's cant make common sense decisions they can only go by how a play is reflected as in how the rule is written but when the rule is screwed up it kind of ties their hands. Exactly what part of that catch made it a non catch I'm not to sure. I have not seen much coverage on it yet only that explanation on why it was ruled the way it was

I was rooting for the 49ers also.....but.....

you should read the doom and gloom on Bradley's blog in the AJC. There was soooo much hope, with Superbowl talk, for the Falcan'ts. It's like the fair-weather ATL fans gave up ALREADY!

I love it!

Way to go Browns. Dominate the first half and completely fail the 2nd.....

You have to maintain possession all the way to the ground. If Santonio Holmes bobbled the ball on the way to the ground in SB XLIII, it wouldn't have been a catch. He still would have caught it with two feet down, but had he bobbled it, they would have said no catch. Same with Calvin, he got two feet, a knee and a butt down but then he dropped the ball. Maybe the rule should be changed, but it was the right call.

It's stupid. When it's 4th and inches to the goal, all some QB or RB or FB has to do is break the plane. Here, it was pretty clear it wasn't bobbled or there was showmanship going on. I'm happy for the Bears, but seriously, Detroit needs a ****ing break.

Also, I'm very happy for McNabb and the Skins. I loathe the Cowgirls, so when the Eagles or Skins pound their little vajajays, I'm all for it.

Eagles looked terrible. If I were Reid (I'd start eating less and) I'd balance Kolb and Vick more that McNabb is gone. 4 starters injured now. This season is looking rather bleak. This loyal Eagles fan is prepared for another "sigh season".

I was always really skeptical, but after watching that game it really started to sink in. Not saying there are many people involved because if there were we'd have heard about it. Perhaps there is just a couple people though trying to throw the game... I fully acknowledge that it's a bold accusation, but I do still wonder...

Dude... Lame...

3 of those turn overs happened cause receivers couldn't hold onto the ball that was in their hands...

The difference is that those RBs, QBs and FBs already have established possession.

If Reid had a brain, Vick would be the starter.

Looking forward to Manning bowl II.
The Giants had better tighten up special teams fast.

Big game between the Jets/Patriots. Will really show whos in position to take the AFC East this year. I see the same outcome in Manning bowl II as the first one.

Stop it. The Jets have zero offense. Cakewalk game for the Pats. 21-6.

Nothing is a sure bet in the NFL. I feel that way b/c Peyton is clearly the better QB then his tail coat riding brother
