ok... this thread will go instant flame war but i bought the one for 205 just because i wanted every last hp possible from an intake... now if i were to do it again i would probably buy the smaller one if for nothing more than ease of checking the filter and i also have had water get on the element in my MAF and it caused the car to buck... but thats only if i drive thru a big puddle. when its cool outside it really does pull in ambient air temps into the motor or atleast my predator tells me that.

SOOOOOO if you dont mind a SEVERE pain in the ass install then get the full cold air but if you want near the same gains just get the short ram, ive seen to many 500hp cobras running shortrams w/ no problems to think that it matters anymore.

yea its more of an apperance mod, but i have the RAI (the $175 one) for the same reasons RoadConeTuning stated. a lot of people complain that the complete CAI ($205) is a bitch to install and also change filter for maybe an extra 0.2 hp

either way neither will add that more than a couple HP to your car....they're mainly for looks.

ok one last question... how will i know which motor mount i have and if will it rub against my oil cap?
2002-2004 are very tight, but were working on a fix for it.
One way to fix it is get a oil fill extention from a 2004 Ranger. It moves the cap up 2" and give all the clearance you need.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

don't waste your money

Yeah. Spend it on lottery tickets or metamucil or something. Don't waste it on proven high quality parts like the JLT.

This is why so many people are confused about what to get. Too many people post trash.

You'd be hard pressed to find any other part that gives the same performance per dollar as a JLT.
A plenum is close, but nothing else can touch it.
