Hi,

Just received the JLT CAI and SCT XCAL 2. I am anxious to
install it, but a little hesitant as the manual for the SCT
said to choose a different year other than 2005+. How
do I know for sure this thing is programmed for the JLT
CAI? Anyway to verify before flashing? I'd call SCT but
it's the weekend. Any suggestions?

Thanks much.

I hope somebody with who has installed their JLT/SCT combo will respond with their experience. I have a different brand of CAI, but I do have the SCT tuner.

If it were me, I'd wait until Monday and verify the instructions. It's probably just a badly written manual, but there's no sense taking a chance with a $25,000 car.

Okay on my 1 page (front and back) instructions I do not see anything similar to what you see.

I think you are gonna have to wait until monday. That sucks man I know how you feel. I had my JLT II for two weeks before I could install it. But it was worth it.

I just did my JLT w/ Xcal2 from Bama and I don't have that either.
All I did was make sure all acc were off. put key in and turn two positons w/out starting it and hook her up.
If you like I can get back to you with exact instructions.

I think I will wait until Monday to talk to SCT just to be sure. I
think I got an old manual or it's a misprint. The box it came
in says model 9415A and the manual says 9415. I just want
to know how to verify the SCT is tuned for the JLT CAI.

Thanks for everyone's replies.

Page 4 of the SCT manual reads:

4.) Model year:

1994-1995 (V6 mustang only)
1996-1997
1998-2004
2005-2006

Choose 1998-2004 and Press Select

5.) Engine Size
3.8
4.6 2v (GT)
4.6 4v (Cobra)
5.4 4v (Cobra R)

Choose 4.6 2v and Press Select
