I need an 8.8 rear end for my stang, and I wanted to now if one from a ford truck or van will fit? Its actually for a sn95, but I guess its a general question.

The only 8.8 rear end housings that I know of that would be a direct fit are the ones from the 87-88 Tbird Turbocoupe, the 86?-92? Lincoln Mark VII, and the 86-98 V8 Mustangs. All the truck ones do not have the correct mounts for the control arms, and more than likely are not the correct width.
Best deal is the TBird ones. They come stock with 3.55 (stick)or 3.73 (auto) gears and will bolt right up, and they have traction lock. Most of the Mark VII ones do not have traction lock. But either one you can install the stock Mustang brakes on it.
