Just picked a 1991 Gt for $2800 last night. Grey interior, AOD Trans with shift kit. Being up here in Montana cant be too picky what I get. Owned 3 other 5.0 foxbodys with a T-5, so this is going to be different. I just cant stay away from them. I just sold my 2000 GT with 70,000 miles to get back into one. What would you guys recommend to clean the interior with. The seats are DIRTY!
Plus whats a good way to remove all the chipping paint on the front bumper, it needs to be repainted. thanks Markus

Looks like a great project. I have been slowly reworking my white '91GT and the body is getting done over this winter..it adds up real fast though

looks to be a fun project. not too bad at all but enough that you can put your own touch into it when rebuilding it. keep us updated with any progress!

From the pics the car looks like a soild project. There is no way you could repaint the bumpers without them looking way better than the rest of the car. Your better off preping the whole car at one time for paint and taking car of small dings or dents that my exists.

white ponys FTL.

but seems to have pretty decent interior though. its SCREAMING for tint though. and then cut it in half and make it a notch, it will need a 4 eye front end too. theres a thread around here somewhere with detailed instructions

Heard of Chico Hot Springs, but not the other area. I'm pretty far from there too. I miss my hometown Palm Beach, Florida!

if your looking to do something not that cost effective..

id say pull the seats and carpet and use a shampoo vacuum and a soft scrub brush so you dont damage the tweed seats (the seats dont look that bad) youd probably have a good looking int.

trade the ponies or sell and get some gray ponies or some turbines

look for a used white front bumper cover instead of the hassle of repainting the whole car and if all of the clear coat is intact on the body claybar+wax+buff the whole thing youll be A-OK!

buy you a headlight resto kit instead of spending 100+ for some clear aftermarkets

clean the engine bay with some rags and de-greaser if you can its always nice to look under the hood to a clean stockish engine

youll probably be looking at 300 bucks out of your pocket + a good set of hours to restore this then if you'd like look into some engine mods and throw some 4:10's in the rear end (seen your other thread) and a mean exhaust system youll have a pretty gt cruiser

oh and if i had a gt id grab a cobra rear bumper cover and purchase a set of chrome tail pipes that would be nice too...

Thanks, I was thinking the same on some of those fix ups. But I like white ponys on white foxbodys. I think they look nice.

shampoo the interior. if you dont have that then use resolve and a damp rag, takes awhile but works pretty good.
