Hey everyone,

This is my fourth 'Stang, but my first of the 94-95 brand. I'm jazzed - the new car is a black '95 vert with brown top and brown/tan interior. 5.0 with 5-speed. I owned a '93 Gt, so I'm not all that new to the 5.0 world, but here's a question: I was mildly surprised to find a set of strut tower braces on this thing when I lifted the hood. Is that brace stock equipment on the 94-95 years, or is it something that's specific to the verts, or is it aftermarket? There are no stickers on it to make it a dead giveaway, so I can't tell. Help me out someone....... thanks!

Matt

The STB is stock But when you put an aftermarket intake on there you'll either have to ditch it all together or buy an aftermarket one to clear.

Welcome to the 94/95 world and got any pictures???

Thanks! Funky about the brace.... that thing is not to be found on the '93 models. I haven't taken any pics yet. Will post some tomorrow.

I like the implication in your post "But when you put an aftermarket intake on there....." When, not if..... well, hopefully it'll be soon!

No doubt..... got it last Saturday, and I'm in the process of fabricating a set of homemade subframe connectors for it already. Gooder funner!

Mine was completely stock when I bought it in 2002. Found out that not only did it have a STB but also a G-load brace on the K-member.

Yep - I found that thing too this weekend. I'm fabricating a set of subframe connectors, and so I had the car up and was underneath measuring and fitting, and there it was. Kind of surprised me to see it - go figure Ford.

I am the third owner of my car and it was stock when i got it. The previous owner took good care of the body and didn't rag it out at all. When I got a hold of it, well different story About a month ago I saw the previous owner and he about $hit a brick. He was like "my baby, what have you done to it?" I said "given it what it always wanted- Wings to Fly!" Mustangs were meant for mods.
