Hey guys, I just bought a set of draglites and the rears are drilled for screws. Do I just mount them and get one of those screw kits from jegs or something and just put them in or what? Just dont wanna ruin some tires. One more dumb question but I just wanna make sure, you dont need tubes for drag radials right? Thanks guys

No tubes for drag radial.

I'll let someone else answer the beadlock screw question.

If the wheels are drilled.. you're gunna have to fill them with something so they don't leak air. It will never air up without a tube in them like that.

So I have to put tubes in my drag radials???

Yes, or fill the holes, so they don't leak.

I bought a set of 275/50/15 mt drag radials for them, what size tube do i buy then?

I'd personally sell the Draglites, and get a couple that aren't drilled. I'm not sure what size tube you'd need, since I've never personally had to use them.

you can put new screws in the rims and into the tires, if you follow the screw manufacturers instructions it should be fine. IF your not satisfied with that answer then add a tube any local tire shop should have a good tube......just leave the screws out and add a tube! or you can put a drag slick tube in for a heavy price increase over a regular tube.

I personally have never used screws on my slicks.........and personally even with a 1.20's 60 foot time behind my big block fox on 28 x 10.5 MT slicks they never slipped enough to worry about!

So you think they would hold a bead with the screws in without the tube?

I think they would but I'd call someone like Holcomb motorsports and ask to speak to someone like W.L. Baxley to be sure. They sell those screws, sell the tubes and sell the slicks. I remember asking him questions like that plenty of times and he basically told me what I posted above. The tires .........should hold. The air pressure leaking from the tire to the outside of the screw holes may be another thing.

I remember my friend having some Draglites he bought that already had screw holes drilled in them, he ran BFG DR's and Dunlop Street tires on them and I dont remember that car leaking air too bad. I would have known too because that ******* would have been using my compressor to air the tires up.

Also the rim should seal with the holes in the rim without screws.

well spank my monkey! Listen to these guys above, I was thinking the holes would interfer with tire sealing........been awhile since I fooled with slicks/screws, and even then I didnt actually drill out my wheels, just had seen others that had. IF the tire will seal without the screws then your in good shape. I was thinking use a tube if the wheel to tire seal was leaking because of the screw holes! My bad!

Yea, screwing them if there are already screw holes would help if they were leaking and he were running a bias ply tire like the previous owner.
