What scope? Or do you even need one

Wow, reminds me of when I got my 89, bone stock black on gray but mine was five speed. I miss her dearly. And even more about my brothers bone stock 88 auto black on gray. Nice car man, what are your plans with her? And no about the cluster, the wiring was changed in 90 and so was the cluster. And the seats were different too from 87-89. And holy no option car, no cruise, manual windows, looks like mirrors too. Your car probably weighs nothing! To think about it, my brothers 88 had the same options as that thing!

Thanks for the info on the cluster. My plans..... well I have a lot of parts, K-member, 3.73rear end, TKO500, UCA/LCA's, and lots of other mods from my old car ready to go on this one.

Looks very good! For your questions, just swap over some later model headrests, that will lower the seat some. I had some 87 GT seats for a while in my LX and I hated them. The later headrests are a slightly different color, or get some halos like Mike and I did. The only direct cluster swap is a 89 model since Ford changed the wiring in 90. You can swap out the speedo with some mods too, it is not a direct fit either.

Good luck with it!

Thanks and good idea on the headrests.

Couldnt have picked a better color. Congrats!

Black is starting to grow on me. Lets see... my dog is a black lab, I recently adopted a all black cat, I love black rifles, Glocks are my favorite handgun, what's next?

You need an 89 cluster.
Let me dig up my old reciepts. There was this one dude selling the cop car clusters with the 160 speedo for $100 a while back. If I can find his number I will PM it to you. :nice:

I would apreciate that.

hmmm bigger than the scope i got mounted on this?

I'll IED your ass! You're luggin' around that big thing and all I have on me is a cell phone. :D

I'm willing to bet it has 2.73's.

50resto getting a call soon!

Oh... another tidbit, the old owner came by today and told me to be sure to use synthetic 10W30 catrol because that's what he's been using since about 5K miles.
