Just did my first "major" mod to my mach.

31 spline axels
4:10 gears
aluminum drive shaft
maximum motorsports lower control arms
ebiach drag kit

4:10's made a huge difference.

I should know sunday how much!

about 400 rpms higher than it was.

But man, it helps out third gear soo much! But you lose some in 4th.

With the et slicks I barrowed.

1.719 60ft!!!

Mods are the following:

K&n filter

31 spline axels
4:10 gears
aluminum drive shaft

i would love to put the 4.10s in the mach, but i do take a few trips a year to new braunfuls, would holdin 80-90 mph for that trip be harmful on the engine, turnin those kinda rpms for that period of time??? or would a good tranny cooler or any other extras need to be put in place and then no worries?, nice times josh, hopefully ill see some 12's or low 13's soon!!!

I've taken two round trips from Texas to North Carolina holding 80-90 mph and haven't noted any engine damage. A tranny cooler would definately be a good idea even with stock gears.

Considering most non-overdrive transmissions turn around 3K RPM at highway speeds for hundreds of thousands of miles with nary a worry, I wouldn't be too concerned with any potential "damage" in this case.

And unless you have an automatic transmission, there won't be any need or provision for a transmission cooler. Standard shifts have no pump; they're lubricated via splash or slinger lubrication.

Saying there isn't a need for a transmission cooler on a standard transmission is another statement of the obvious that everyone already knows. Tell us some more things we already know TOOL, the more the better 'cause you're so much fun to make fun of.

You still haven't explained yourself. Just pathetic attempts at insults. Sure signs of immaturity and limited useful knowledge.

Assumptions can be dangerous, like assuming everyone's ghey like you seem to be. Some of us don't care too much for gheys like you TOOL, but as long as you keep to yourself it's no big.
