one of my first experiences with rice was in the rain. i roll up to the light next to this civic. i am rolling because i can see the light is going to change and right when i get next to the ricer it turns green. he tries to show of my barely spinning his tires. well i stomp on it, spin in first, shift, spin in second, then grip third. this guy starts yelling out his window. when he got next to me i turned on my dome light, smiled and flipped him off. it was great..

Im really interested as to why stang/ls1 guys have so much hate or disrespect to the import culture. I myself have no respect for the ricer who sports the parkbench wing on his car, but seems to me, I get little or no respect whether I am fast or slow.

well, I've ran into a lot of kids that try to race me by cutting people off. that's just dumb, all he did was piss everyone off, so when I beat him, he was being a dick. happens all the time in my neighborhood...

My story begins about six years ago. I had an 86 GT with a Paxton S/C pushin a small 7 pounds of boost. I loved that car. It was sleeper to the max. A couple of buddies and I were driving along the gulf coast about 2 am, when a little white civic approached. We stopped at a light, and lined up. There wasn't another car around. The light turned, and we launched. He must have been packing something, cause he kept up to me pretty good. I was only able to put a car length on him. We pulled up to another light, and stopped. The light turned green, and he wanted some more. This time about halfway through the gears, I look in my mirror, and he had caught the closest U-turn and was headed the other direction.

its just that 90 perccent of the imports buzzing around have little or no work to make the car faster, just 3 foot wings and wild body kits, and they assume they're car is sooooooo fast and we see them weiving in and out of traffic, and then they talk **** to us, i know it just kinda pisses us off becuase we put lots of money into our cars engines, and they seem to have no respect for us for doin this. Then when we see a "ricer" we just think that they're gonna talk **** to us, so we automatically give no respect . i mean if i seen your car in person i'd give you respect cause your doing up your car right, i mean your getting compliments here and people in here can be pretty critical.

im gonna start surfin this board..and learn more about GT stangs. I thought about working on a 5.0 project..but thats probably not gonna happen until I graduate. Even then, I have other projects I want to work on before a stang. I've recently, gotten really fond of the new infinity G35. Kinda want to mess with one of those after I graduate now.

I dont hate imports, just riced out ones. My buddy has a 95 Teg and we put a turbo on that thing only for the turbo to come apart 2 days later(thats what ya get fr used turbos) That was pretty disappointing. Good thing is he sold most of it to another freind in his 97 teg and its been running fine. The day after he got it on, he took the kid w/the 95 teg for a ride and blew a headgasket. That was the day before he had to drive up north for college. Overnight headswaps are not fun. Ill see if i can find pics of his car

I argee. I had some kid in a riced out Cavalier (why the hell you'd spend money on one is beyond me) call my car ugly, which it was.
My response 'It might be ugly but it's faster then your j-body with a fart can and wing.' Never bugged me again.

There are so few imports out there that are actually quick and stock looking.

id race ya............................wouldnt be much of a challenge................i have respect for kids who do a car right.............but i dont have respect for kids who buy import cars suporting a country that wouldnt lift a finger for us.............and bashing the cars america was built on.......................then i just smoke them and show them what what a set of stang tails looks like............i like the bumper..................personally i am all go and no show............give me the 3 diff color stang with the 15k motor.........you can have your 9k paint job................we apreciate you comeing in here with some sence and not saying you could wax anyone in here............cause there are some guys pulling times i dont think i could ever see a import touch......................smart move............put a worked v-tec in there jump the boost and be GOD...........

i dislike a lot of you import guys bc apparently your **** doesnt stink. kids telling me they make 230 to the wheels at 14 psi makes me laugh. Im tired of getting revved at and im tired of wasting my gas. Its hard to get respect from the other side, so we decided to do it right back. Hell, us Stang owners pick fights with the Camaro guys....just to do it. Everything has its territory, and we are simply out to be the "be all, end all car".

why was it confuseing? i just said good choice on your car being puting money in the engine first...................and not makeing it look like a ricer special.............and not comeing in the board and bashing all of us..............COOL now?????????????some one needs to tune that BOV down some..............
