dam, i remember reading this thread in nam, back in the day. As far as imports go, every time i see one of those sonofa******s i romp my car as hard as i can to leave no doubt in there minds that americain cars are much better than there *** crap imported junk. i dont care if they are cool people or not, if they drive an import there a peice of $%^& in my mind!
ok well i dont know if it's funny funny or not but i got a laugh out of what he would say to his ricer buddies. last weekend i lined up with a integra that i thought was a evo so i said aw what the hell lets go so we line up i do my burn out he does the famous ricer one ha ha ha ha 
so the light goes down the tree i hammer down then half way threw 1st i seen he was still sitting at the tree so i desided to start slowing and then shift at 3,000 instead of the norm. i go threw the gears at 3,000 and bout the 1,000' foot he passes me taching it out so i'm bout to hit the wall laughing so hard so we get to the end and i get my slip i ran a 16 someting and he ran a 16 something as well but he did beat me i could just hear him the next day chit hommies my integra is so fast i smoked a mustang if he only knew. i guess you just had to be there tho i think i have it on video. peace

i did something like that, this riced out cavalier wanted to race, i didn't know he was serious at first so i back off cause i though he just wanted to see me go, but then i hear him chirp into second so i get on it about 3/4 throttle, so wer'e even, also he had someone in the passenger seat, so i waved without looking over and gunned it, and left many car lengths between us, don't know if he seen me wave. i was with my buddy and he said, he's probably gonna go tell his buddies that he hung with a mustang till third gear. my buddy had that one on tape but it got taped over

After I beat import on street ,first I tell him that "I have 4 cilynder ,and he was how" , than I was "4 cilynder on one side and 4 on other side and that make V8 punk"

To each his own..I chose the import scene because to me..its much more enjoyable for me atleast to be able to keep up with a GT or an LS1 for that matter with only a 1.8 liter 4cylinder. Yes I could have gotten a T/A or a GT....and yes for the money i put into my civic, I could have been twice as fast with an LS1 or a GT. I respect the crap out of the domestic rides.....which why building my "econobox" capable enough to beat or keep up with them provides me with more pride in what I have accomplished. Now...please don't take this the wrong way...I am not saying that I am faster than every domestic or even every import out there on the street. I just feel that respect should be given to where its due...not taken away just because it lacks displacement. If anything, imports should deserve some respect for being able to keep up with you guys. I don't mean having to give respect to those ricey, outrageous body kit, bee buzzing exhaust imports...but atleast give respect to those who do drive respectably on the street and can hold their own when put up to the challenge
I have found mixed responses from the guys on stangnet..I've received a few praises for my car.....guys like that is what Stangnet should be about...ignorant disrespect for no reasonable cause other than the lack of displacement is just plain ghey!!

No but I pulled up next to one last night that would have handed me my a** on a platter more than likely. An integra from I'm guessing 2000 or 99 or something pulls up next to me and gets on it hard. Then he lets off the gas and I hear the BOV. I looked over and nodded because I knew I didnt want none. My friend who was with me was like WTF was that? I told him that my friend was a TURBO.

I raced a pretty close one with a white teg. I drove by him and he got on it, so I left it in 4th and he was all over my bumper. so I let him pass me, we waited for another clear, and he had me till about 120, I think he ran out of gear, then the third time I was all over his bumper, I passed, he was all over mine. It went on like that a couple more times. so we were a pretty even match, I think it was all up to drafting, whoever was behind was all over the guy in front's bumper. 
anyways, I outdrove him and he applauded me. which was cool because he gave me the thumbs down before.

me and my friend were driving in his slushbox grand am v6, and we saw this cavalier witha HUGE wing on it and unpainted body kit, we catch up to him and point and laugh, he got sooo pissed, he tried to race, but he was no match for a 16 second car

I only had like 6-7#'s of boost in my car then. That was a sweet car. The guy totally freaked when I beat him cause my car looked almost stock, cool guy tho definitly knew his ****. Learned more about STi's that hour then I did about any other car my whole life.(except the crustang of course)

Well, this is kinda a ricer story, i saw this car before i ever had my lisence, but i havent seen the guy around anymore, but this guy had a green Dodge Intrepid, with 15" chrome wheels, a 18' airplane wing spoiler, a bumble bee exhaust, and some dragon graphics...he drove it around like it was the fastest thing ever. It was also the funnest thing ever, he was graduated, but would come and hang out at my high school...funny stuff...just thought i'd post.
