I'm considering buying new wheels. Primarily because the ultra-lites don't come in 18x10.

So I thought I'd see what you guys think.

Well, I was going to make this a poll, but I screwed it up.

So basically I'm either sticking with the Ultra-lites or getting white Saleen's. Only problem with getting the Saleens is that my car is not a Ford white so I don't know if there will be a noticable color difference. So I dunno.

Just a curiosity thread ;)

I really like the 94-95 saleen wheels. I don't care much for the 96-04 wheels since they have a bit of a ridge.

This smoothness of the 94-95s is very nice.

As far as color is concerned, I suppose I could buy one wheel and if the color doesn't match I could always sell it on ebay for close to what I paid for it. Or just have an awesome spare ;)

i love white saleens on a white 'saleen' i pefer the speedster style on the 94-98s and the newer style on the new edge's though, but im sure either will look good. id say white wheels on a white gt/cobra or non faleen/saleen wouldnt look as good, i think the black decals etc deffently set off the wheels well on the saleens, but i have seen them on a cobra on 2nd thoughts and they did look pretty bad ass.

btw. i replied in your coil over thread.

Stick with the ultralights as you will have a VERY hard time locating those saleen wheels as they haven't been made in a long time.

BTW- I think white wheels on a white car look incredible, its one of the few color on color combos that I like.

i agree--white on white (no lip) looks killer, where as black-on-black, you need the polished lip, imho.

in your case, it's tough... the 94-95 Saleen wheels are hard to come by (as Paul 1 mentioned... i'm "Paul 2", hehe), but are unique.. then again, not very many have ultra-lights.

maybe if you painted your ultra-lights to match?? don't know, just an option..

Yeah. I know the 94-95s are nearly impossible to find. Just everytime I see a white saleen with white wheels, I get penis envy.

I do agree that the side stripes set off the white wheels.

I'll probably end up keeping the ultra lites and spending the money on mechanical upgrades.

Man... white saleens though... mmm
