I bought the one w/o the fancy harness kit since my car is already wired. The fan has 3 wire, black, green and yellow. Obviously blk is ground, but which wire is for HIGH speed? I run my fans on a switch only so I won't be using the low side. If no one knows for sure, i'll call ramchargers today.

Fwiw, it needs some cutting and trimming to fit in my car with the vortech crank pulley.

Simply ground the black wire, and then use a temporary jumper wire (10 or 12 gauge) connect your jumper (just temporarily twist them together) to first the green and then the yellow for a moment - then touch the other end of the jumpber to the positive terminal on the battery. You'll hear the difference in speed.

That what I was gonna do but I figure i'd ask if anyone knew for sure. I called ramchargers and the guy wasn't sure. he mentioned I might have to splice both wires to get the high on, but that doesnt make sense. I'll try when I get a chance, of course its f'n raining yet again

Geez, if the guys that make the fan can't tell you how to wire it --- just makes me scratch my head in wonder.

Never mind, thought the Ramchargers was the same as SPAL...NOT. The Ramchargers fan is two speed so Michael is right.

Don

Grn92LX,

I'd ohm it out before hooking it up to power. The green may be the case for EMI reduction. Check each connection from black and the case of the motor to be sure. I checked the SPAL data sheet and it doesn't have anything on electrical it is all mechanical info.

Good Luck, Don

I found out how it worked. YOu have to splice the green and yellow wire together and that will make it run on high. Puttng each one to the battery seperatly only made it run on low speed.

Thanks for posting - that may help out someone else in the future. Now you know to just solder those puppies together, and run that connected line over to your new Delta Current Controller!!
