This kinda blows. My mouth hurts. But not quite as bad as i would have thought. They did say the second day would be much worse. So i guess i just have to buckle down and take my vicadin. Anyone have any words of advice?:SNSign:
I cant really help, but for me i didnt even need any pain killers. The first night i was eating pasta vodka and the second day i was eating burger king.
I got all four out at once. Not big deal although I still have the holes that never filled in. I was cutting tree linbs that afternoon. Just don't drink from a straw or anything else that could cause a dry socket. That's when you pain will begin.
I had all 4 of mine removed at the same time. The doc was affraid he might of had to brake my jaw as I had 4 badly impacted ones. Gave me a warning "dont freak out if your mouth is wired shut when you wake up".
I ended up not getting a broken jaw (thank God) but did get 2 dry sockets...think of pain that is like a bad migrane but also pain elsewere too...funny thing was as soon as they got done packing the socket...was like a damn light switch pain gone no problem at all...that was wierd.
If the pain is not gone in 2-3 days GET TO THE DOC. you prob. have a dry socket.
Back in highschool, in order to get braces, I had 8 teeth pulled out. Initially it was only supposed to be 4, but they found out that my wisdom teeth were growing in sideways. So yeah, 8 teeth pulled 1 in day. It wasn't as bad as I thought though. It's just after when you can't eat anything.
I just ate a lot of soup, and mashed potatoes. ALWAYS clean it out after you eat (with a syring (sp)). You don't want to get an infection.
I had all 4 out at once and it sucked the day after. Two days after was okay and the third I was well on the way to recovery. I still had holes in the jaw for a while though. No potato chips.
Take the vic with a beer and you will be all warm and fuzzy.
