I was running a 10" air filter in the engine bay surrounded by a heat sheild I fabbed up out of aluminum. ACT temps were reading 130 degrees idling in the hot summer sun, it was screwing with my idle since the computer changes air/fuel and timing in open loop when ACT temps get hot. The power pipe changed that, now temps read ambient.

The install wasn't too hard, you have to enlarge the whole in the fenderwell were the spout connector is located. Pretty easy with a dremmel tool. I split a vacuum line in half, filled it with RTV and put it inside the hole to help support the pipe and keep it from rubbing metal on metal. I was shocked to find out that my 10" AFM air filter fit in the fenderwell. Its crammed in there pretty tight but it fits.

This pipe is expensive, ~$189, but its ceramic coated and the rubber sleeves fit perfect. I know my 408W is going to put off alot of heat so I wanted the air filter away from the engine.
