just installed BBK intake, having problems

Ok, I drive an automatic '95 GT and I recently installed a BBK cold air intake and now I've got a little problem. What happens is the car seems to have a lot of trouble shifting from 2nd gear into 3rd. Sometimes the car rev's up all the way to like 3000 or 3500 rpms before it finally shifts into 3rd gear. If I just give the car a lot of gas from a stop it rev's up sooo high between 2 and 3 and it sounds terrible and I usually have to let of the gas for a second and wait for it to switch into 3rd. Other than this problem, the intake has been a success (increasing both power and making the car sound beefier), but this shifting problem is really killing my acceleration between the speeds of 30 and 40mph.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do!!! Thanks in advance.

Are you sure this occured only after the intake was installed. Check your throttle pressure on the throttle cable. When you took it off during the install could have made the position different.

just curious is there a different name for the Transmission Range Sensor, because i did a search to find out more about it and i couldnt find anything on it....Having a similar problem in my parents ford. thanks
