Ok, I drive an automatic '95 GT and I recently installed a BBK cold air intake and now I've got a little problem. What happens is the car seems to have a lot of trouble shifting from 2nd gear into 3rd. Sometimes the car rev's up all the way to like 3000 or 3500 rpms before it finally shifts into 3rd gear. If I just give the car a lot of gas from a stop it rev's up sooo high between 2 and 3 and it sounds terrible and I usually have to let of the gas for a second and wait for it to switch into 3rd. Other than this problem, the intake has been a success (increasing both power and making the car sound beefier), but this shifting problem is really killing my acceleration between the speeds of 30 and 40mph.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do!!! Thanks in advance.

I don't believe the intake would affect your transmission in any way.

Maybe you should take it back and save up for a tranny.

1. Pics of the intake installed!
2. Check your trans fluid while the car is hot, sounds like it's low.
3. Could be your transmission range sensor (TRS).

Are you sure this occured only after the intake was installed. Check your throttle pressure on the throttle cable. When you took it off during the install could have made the position different.

I think you might have read his original post wrong as I did too. He installed a CAI, not BBK's new manifold.

I cant see how your CAI would have anything remotely to do with your tranny.
