Just Need A Short Quick Answer

how would I get the copper looking piece that provides oil to the head off. mine is clogged and no oil is getting to the head

nevermind I got it off and it was clogged with gunk so no oil was getting to the head so I cleaned it out and put it back together and the ticking stopped. so if your car sounds like this video theres a chance your oil resister is clogged

I hope their wasn't as much gunk in your motor as the picture in the link?

haha no mine still looked new but I drove it maybe 5 miles to the mechanic and back with it ticking and by the way the mechanic said the motor was trashed. and that's why I don't trust most mechanics cause they didn't even look at it

From a mechanic's stand point...Either, A, he was too lazy to do it or, B, he didn't want to do it thinking you wouldn't pay the time to diagnose the problem. I know some places offer free estimates but, when you have to start taking stuff off to find problems that's where you have to start charging time. Just my .02. Glad you were able to figure it out.
