Well, I had a 98 Mustang a few years back and she was great. However I fell into a rough patch and lost her to the repo guy. Fast forward eight years and here I am again, the proud owner (outright this time) of a 1994 GT. I picked her up for an even grand on a scratch and dent sale. The prior owner stated she was sideswiped and just didn't feel comfortable driving it anymore. Her loss my gain. All in all I bought a decent chassis, three wheels and a great engine. I went to a local scrap yard and picked up a pair of aluminum wheels and a passenger door. I then replaced all four tires. I'd say it was a good first week.

The entire passenger side is torn from just behind the front wheel with a major muster-cluck for a rear quarter paned. the door still opens and closes, but all three parts need replacing. I tried the door today and found that the alignment doesn't match up and had to replace the old one for the time. Any suggestions for how to get all this done for under 500?

Thanks in advance.
Jason

Under $500 is asking a bit much. A used door in good shape will run $175 to $400 it self. The fender can be gotten aftermarket for around $100 give or take. The 1/4 is the tricky part. Not super hard to replace but not easy in any way either. Here in south florida my shop would charge around $2,700 to do a job like this. Just my 2cents. Good looking car. Hope you can get her back in shape and rippin down the road soon. Good luck

Thank you Coldsteel, I picked up the door I need at the scrapyard and plan to convert it from a power window to manual for 65, but until I can pull off the front quarter panel and replace it it won't fit right. They have the front ¼ panel for 65 as well.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

The rear quarter panel is a very involved fix that will require quite a bit of cutting and welding. This fix can potentially be thousands of dollars depending on what is damaged underneath the surface. A 500$ budget will not take care of the rear quarter. Before you get too involved into the car I would get a few estimates from local body shops to see if the repairs are even worth considering. I would hate to see you spend quite a bit of money on the car and ultimately not have it fixed. Good luck with the car, and Welcome to

wow, that is pretty banged up and will require some extensive repair. Got your welder and grinders fired up?
