All,
I just picked up a 91 SHO from South Carolina, no rust and 77K miles. I was wondering if any other Mustangers out there have much knowledge on these cars. It's a fun car and I was pleasently surprised on the power out of a V-6. But, the car has been somewhat neglected as has some things that need repaired. So, just looking for some others out there.

had one "back in the days"... It's gonna be hard to get parts because of its age. I would track down a forum that covers them.

I've always wanted one. Still looking for one for a daily driver. They're fun.

Conan O'Brien is hilarious when they do the clips about him and his SHO.

I bought mine for my daily driver and I'm going to sell my F150. The way gas prices are going, I need to save the extra cash for the Mustang gas, not the GAS HOG F150, which gets 12 mpg. On my trip back from SC, I got 28 mpg going apprx 74 mph, on 87 octane. Pretty respectable numbers. I just filled it up again and I'm anxious to see what kind of mileage I can get with it as my daily driver.

I had a 1993 5 speed SHO up until a couple of years ago. I wish I would have kept it. There really fun. Just be nice to the trans. Burnouts are a very bad thing. Remember that! I went through 3 transmissions on my old one in approx. 4 years. Although, I drove mine like a stole it.

Yeah, I read that somewhere before I bought the car that burnouts were really hard on the tranny. I think at my age, I'm past that stage in my life. When I was younger, I couldn't keep tires on any of my cars! Don't get me wrong, I love dropping the clutch and watching the tires smoke, but I really don't do it that much in the Mustang nor will I do it in the SHO. Thanks for the advice!

My daily driver is a 94 SHO with the auto.
The SHO shop is a good place for parts. Also if you have a C&L MAF from a 89-93 mustang laying around calibrated for stock 19lb injectors it will work on the SHO. A friend has 3 SHO's one has 217,000 mi. second tranny but still original motor. These cars run forever is taken care of.

I never had an SHO, but I did have a black 88 turbo coupe, that car was a blast. It could keep up with the mustangs of the day with it's puney 4 banger. It was a very sharp looking car, I wish I would have kept it. I'm pretty sure that the V-6 in the SHO was actually made by yamaha as was the V-8 in the 2nd generation of SHO's.
