ANybody of audio clips of the SLP's? I just bought a 1996 Cobra without cats in an emissions county in Ohio. Need Cats.
I like the idea of adding in race pipes if needed, especially since the current BBK o/r H pipes sound GREAT.

Any clips would be great. Not one SLP X-pipe on http://www.mustangexhaust.com/4.6sounds.htm

Thanks.

We've never had a set with cats get a light. Most quality pipes with cats don't get lights.

No light here either.

I have a Pypes catted X and a Magnaflow catback. I never saw a light come on. One of my cats even went bad for a while, too. After that I replaced them both with higher-quality high-flow cats, and I've never seen a light with those either. I've probably driven it around that way for 5-6 months.

I have the Cat SLP X pipe and Power Flo system. The material the system is made of is great, but my fit sucks! The X pipe hits the floor, doesn't sit under the crossmember correctly, and I have a constant leak at the ball and socket joint on the drivers side header (Quality header too...FRPP ceramic coated). Joe in their tech department was helpful, but I ended up having to go to a specialty exhaust shop, spend another $500, just to drive the car, and the X-pipe still hits the floor under hard excelleration. I would buy the kit again, but someone else may make a better fitting system.

97&67_Stang - Interesting comments, have you heard anything similar or has anyone else had problems with fit? The best part of the SLP system is installing myself without welding and being able to swap out components without cutting. Although I work at a welding company, I've noticed that good welds tend to be permanent. Band clamps aren't.

The band clamps are extremely good quality however.

I want to hear some sound clips of a SLP catted X with the catback! I'm strongly considering this

i heard the slp catback and offroad exhaust and it sounds like crap, kind of like a 50's chevy with cherry bombs or straight pipes, maybe it's better with cats,i heard borla and it sounds better in my opinion.

Good deal man. I've been running the SLP cattx and LM for about a year now and it's a great exhaust. It sounds great, low drone, and the quality is superb.

Which SLP Loudmouth catback system are you running? the original shotgun resonators, LM II's or the power flo mufflers? i have the original system and was thinking about an x pipe. A buddy of mine put on a UPR off road X last night with the original LM system and it was so loud it would wake the dead. Sounded like crap too. I'm trying to decide if i should get the SLP catted X, or buy his UPR and some power flo mufflers to quiet it down...Is anyone running the SLP X with race pipes and the original LM catback? how does it sound?

dont about it..i had the slp lm I with upr offroad..it was loud and sounded like crap..pure crap..i just got rid of it on corral and bought the american thunder..the quality is definately not as nice as the SLP but it sounds waaaay better. Im probably going slp for longtube headers tho..but LM+ offroad pipe? its probably the worst mustang setup in existance:/ i wish i would of heard how the catted setup sounded before getting rid of it.

btw..does the slp loudmouth with the SLP Catted X have that "mustang sound" ? IMO nothing comes close to my friends 04 gt..he has bbk longtubes with Dr. Gas shorty crossover xpipe and the american thunder( comes with 2 chamber flows). It doesnt get better, its the best sounding system ive heard in my life. alot nicer then my american thunder with upr offroad. longtube headers give it that "tin-can" with just a amazing note. Its incredible, im sure you guys know what im talking about. Does the SLP EVEN come CLOSE?
