I had bypassed my smog pump a year and 6 months ago and to day i decided that i wanted to just take it out of there so i can loose some punds on the car. The 2 bottom bolts were not too hard to take off cause i used my hammer to hit the ratchet. But the top was a huge pain cause i hardly had space to turn the ratchet, but i finally got it out. I was wondering if my alternator still has good support and won't loosen since the smog pump was attatched to it,it seems ok but i wanna know if anyone has ever har problems after removing the smog pump.

Did you plug off the tubes that go to the H-pipe and the heads? That is important to do or you will have problems.

OMG, you deleted the smog pump!!! No, you will destroy the earth. 6 months, no wonder I got a sunburn the other day, all because of you!!!

I think you'll be ok dude. If all else fails, get the March Alternator Bracket, it's really nice and isn't very expensive.

Those tubes that go from the h-pipe to the heads were removed like a year and a half ago after i got my o/r x-pipe and cat-back exhaust,i just wanted to finally get the smog pump out of there to loosen some weight on the car. Plus the smog pump looks ugly just sitting there with no use too.
