Electrical Just Replaced Ccrm In My 03' Do I Need To Get It Reprogrammed?

So I just replaced my CCRM (parts store k now's it as BCM or body control module) and I connected the battery back up and turned the key 10 times in 45 seconds the doors locked than unlocked. So I proceeded to try and start it. It's doing almost the exact same thing it was doing before I replaced the part... Do I need to take it back to the dealership to get it reprogrammed???

I responded in your other thread that a 2004 and older model year CCRM does NOT need to be programmed.

The PCM, Cluster, and GEM do need to be re-programmed when replaced.

So maybe your problem isn't a bad CCRM. It might help us to help you IF you were to fully describe the problem and what has been done to attempt to fix it.

Don't miss the chance for an easy fix. Did you check all of the fuses? Did you check the battery and battery terminals?

Note. I'm going to guess that what you really have is an apparent anti-theft (PATS) complaint. Since the turn the key on/off 10 times sounds like a FOB reprogramming technique. IF so, here's some information that may be of help.

NOTE do not assume that just because the theft light is blinking that this is a PATS problem. For example IF the PCM doesn't have power then it would be EXPECTED that PATS will not "prove out". Other symptoms of a PCM "issue" are cluster displaying all dashes ("---"), cooling fan running all the time, ODB2 scanner will not "talk" to the PCM.
