Hey Bcollie67, do you have any interior pictures? What transmission does it have?

Beautimus car, man. Love the looks of the Cragars - IMHO, the 67-68 FB (especially in black) is THE car upon which they belong.
And it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the 67-68 FB is my all-time favorite Stang.... and that 67's are my favorite of the two. Something about those cheesey plastic fake grilles in the quarter-panelsw that just make me want to say "Ye-EAH, Bay-bee!"
(Seriously, I think the '67FB -quarter ornaments and all- is the best looking Mustang of all time)

Staring at the pictures for about the 4th or 5th or 10th time; I finally saw the plates. Where in NC? My oldest kid is in Fayetteville - actually she stationed at Bragg. Lotsa Mustangs down there, big club in Fayetteville/Raeford. Mostly SN94's and S197's, though.... the classics are woefully under-represented.

Thanks, I love the look of the cragers too, but sometimes I think they are a little played out.

Anyways thanks for the comments and I am a little biased but my all time favorite mustangs are the 67-68 Mustang Fastbacks as well.

I live in Caswell County, NC. It is right on the Northern NC state line touching Virginia and about in the center of the state.

Thats understandable, if you are running large brake rotors. What kind or brakes do you have?

4 whell drum brakes. But I plan on atleast doing a disc brake conversion once I get my bigger wheels.

I will try and take some interior pictures and post them up shortly. The car has the 4-speed toploader.

Thats cool it has a 4 speed.

I am going to run a T5 in my 65. I am also in the process of installing Granada front disc. It will have rear disc since my Lincoln 9 inch rear has disc.

There are pictures of it in my gallery. Please excuse the cheesy wheels. They are temporary just for rolling it around.

I don't think the Cragar S/S wheels are played out. In fact I hardly ever see them anymore.

Before somebody else says it, I will: "Maybe this thread belongs in talk

Having said that; your comment about Cragar Super Sports could also be said about Mustangs.... they did set the standard, y'know -which means some people would consider them too Old School for the times.
Of course, if that were really true, the model would not have held on for 45 years
And I like the 69's as well; but parking a 69 next to a 67 is like standing Sugar Ray next to Tison (when both were in their best shape). You've got the scrappy guy all fists and feet and heart next to "the Big Bruiser". 67-68 FTW, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Okay, my kid may well have driven past you on weekends during her 6-week TDY at Norfolk. (Or not, if she passed east of you heading for the Vet Clinic near the sub pens)

If you're going all the way up to 17's, I'd suggest going with the '94-'04 Cobra Brakes. Fill up the wheels and give that old girl some WHOA! For wheels; I'd go with some polished re-pop Shelby rims, like the "Elean(wh)ore rims", but not ALL chrome.

And I've read you can stuff a Tremec in place of the toploader without cutting the tunnel. Go with a little bigger rear gear to reclaim some off-the-line ooomph, and still not go deaf and broke on the long freeway cruises.

Yeah, this should be in the talk section but it's so dead over there I wouldn't have gotten any comments.

I do like the cragers like I said before, and I do think they fit the car but I am just in need of a change. Also the fact that I do want to do some big brake sup front helps me push the idea.

You've got one beautiful car there! Try the 17's. I put some on my '68 FB, and am very happy with them. Even the purists (and I know quite a few) say the car looks right with them. It all boils down to what YOU like on your car. Again, VERY nice car!
