Just wanted to let everyone know that the +1 clutch mod on the trac loc kicks A$$!

You do NOT need the special tool.
You do NOT need to remove the differential from the housing.
You do NOT need to remove the ring gear.
There is plenty of room in the housing to do this swap and the hardest part was waiting for the RTV sealant to cure before I drove it. I got my rebuild kit from www.steeda.com.

I'm finally lifting the front of my car when I launch on the street!!!!!!!
Scared the ***** out of the girlfriend!!!

So what exactly is it meant to do? Surely more clutches makes it lock quicker/better. Right??

That'd be good for straight line launches, but how does it affect cornering?

Cornering is a lot better. Much more traction out of the turn.
My car is a road race/drift car. So this helps a lot.
I can get to full throttle about half a second sooner than I could with my regular trac loc when leaving a turn.
It locks tighter because the packs will be a little thicker and put more pressure on the spring. If you want it really tight, throw a space behind the pack too. Just make sure its not too thick as it will bind your spider gears. I would keep the packs within .10" of the stock thickness reccomended in the link I posted earlier.
The main point of the +1 mod is durability, as my trac loc's usually go out after 3 months or so. Power and traction will eat the stock trac loc in a heartbeat.
