hi there everyone, i have been a member for a while now (july 04) and i figured it was about time to talk. i am the proud owner of a 78 cobra II. it has a 65 289, 30 over, big cam, stock heads, aluminum intake, 650 dubble pumper, c4 with 2500 stall, 8" posi with 410 gears. anyway i sure enjoy reading all the cool and helpfull posts and look forward to alot more. i will try to post pisc if i can figure out how to do that. i do use photobucket, but do not know how to attach pics. any help would be appreciated. thanks, mike

Nice car, you don't see too many with the 78 Cobra II graphics.

Thanks. at first i didn't like the 78 stripes to much, but after i got this car they grew on me.

Cool little car. Nice engine combo, too, I like 289s. Though I'd want to shed those stock heads sometime.

I would like to go with some aluminum heads at some point, but thats just one of the many things i dream about for this car. i realy want to get it painted but then there is the problem of finding stripes. i do like the color of these but don't think anyone is reproducing them.

You could always get someone to paint the graphics on the car.

I think once spring comes and it warms up i am going to take the car and try to find some one who can make the stripes or like you said see if some one can paint them on.

I just got thinking, there was a post awhile ago about 78 stripes where someone photo shopped 4 different colors on to a car. green, blue, purple, and charcoal. they all looked prety good, but the charcoal one was awesome. i would like to have it done in the charcoal. i do not know how to link it but heres a pic.
