Last Monday morning our 2002 'Stang was written off in an accident. The ex-wife was caught up in a 4 car collision. The damage was listed as costing in excess of $7,000.
The rear end and passenger compartment was really "tweeked". The rear sub-frame was bent down so that both rear quarters were hitting the tires, the floor pan was bent and twisted up to the firewall, the arch over the doors was rippled, and the right front nose section was pushed to the left.
One odd thing though, once the cars stopped moving the ex found herself with the seat belt up around her ribs. Upon straighting herself up she couldn't reach the pedels. Seems the power seat had slid back from the force of the accident creating slack in the seat belt and allowing her to slide under it. Also the air bag never went off when she hit the car in front. Anyone ever hear of this?????

She's OK. A little stiff and achy, but OK none the less. No broken bones, or wounds. She'll heal quick.
Anyhow, I guess I'll be a lurker. Maybe I'll check in from time to time.
