HEY GUYS. I AM LOOKING TO INSTALL A K MEMBER,CONTROLS,ETC BUT I REALLY DONT FEEL LIKE PULLING THE MOTOR AGAIN SO WHATS THE BEST WAY TO SECURE THE MOTOR AND TRANS. ALSO ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHICH COMPANY I SHOULD GO WITH? THANKS
Yep i would say the engine brace is a good way to go. The you can get the car up high to swap out the k-member. I seen it the other day on t.v. and it looks like a slick way to do it.
yeah thats what i use at work , the strut tower setup, but its on front wheel drive 4 and 6 cylinder cars. thats why i was asking about my v8 w/ supercharger and everything else on it, i am not sure what the rating of the one i have at work is but i think it should work. So what brand k member should i go with i was thinking aje but from what i read it lowers the front 2", i may have read it wrong though also the upr cromemoly was an option. does anyone know what the weights of tubular k members are compared to stock.
To be honest I used a 4x4 across the strut towers and ratchet straps. I didn't have my upper intake on and I notched the 4x4 for my camber plates. Worked great for me.
I use a www.PARacing.com Kmember. It bolted right up and I have had no issues.
