K member question

Hello everybody. I am wanting to get a k member for my 96 GT, someone told me that the k members for the fox bodies are the same as the 96-04 k members, is this true? I even had someone with a 4.6 mustang say that he had an aftermarket fox body k member in it? I had never heard of this before. True or false? Thanks

True and false. The K-members will swap from car to car from 79-04, but the 96+ uses a different part for the 4.6L. SVT32VDOHC has an 01 K-member and complete 01 GT drivetrain in an 81 coupe, and had to use the 4.6L specific K-member to do the swap.
