I have my motor and everything else out of my Mustang and plan on re-doing everything. So I was sitting there looking at it and thought about a K member but i'm not familiar with installing them or any other parts that will be needed.
What else besides a K member is needed? Do I need new suspension also? I'm very mechanically inclined so i'm sure the labor will be fairly simple yet time consuming. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If you buy a K member kit from like UPR the only other thing you will need is struts to accept coilovers and camber caster plates. As far as putting them on your done in 8 bolts

What he said.

The benefits of lightweight, cleaner assembly, stronger and even dropping the engine an inch are definitely worth the conversion and effort.

You don't have to drop the engine, that's an option you can do at anytime.

Wow I figured it was a lot more work then that. What kit would you suggest? How much am I looking at spending? Like I said I don;t particularly want to spend alot because i'd rather the money go somewhere else but i'm willing to spend 5-700 is that enough for everything? Or do i need to spend a little more.

While I'm in the middle of doing this I plan on re-routing all the wires and hiding them in the fenders or wherever i can think of. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help so far guys!

If you really want a tubular set up, now is the time. You are a few bolts away from having it out so I say do it now. You have no motor to hold up....nothing. Most places get you an entire set up from 650-1000..(brand determine price)

Hiding the wires is nice, but time consuming. There are great threads on this here and even more on www.corral.net. There are some guys who have done some crazy stuff with their engine bays.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not an NMRA member so I assume that price would be a little higher but that dosen't sound bad. I'm definately going to do the K member now.

I'll check out corral.net for those wire threads to get some good ideas, thanks for the help.

TeamZ has a very sweet setup with coilovers for about 640.00. I believe it's his seamless chromolly unit also.
You get the standard length or short length tubular A-arms also.
The owners name is Dave.

as far as the wires are concerned I run mine out the apron behind the strut tower and along the outside of the inner fenders. You don't need to be a member they will give it to you

Sounds great, thanks for the tips and all the help guys! I'm going to check out the Team Z set up, 640.00 sound pretty reasonable. Thanks again!
