K&N Air Filter... Uh oh...

still debating on new filter.. c2see21 suppose to be doing another k&n filter test to prove that you lose horses with those..

Fram filter....Walmart....$10.

I had a K&N for the longest time, and hated cleaning it. Plus I worried that oil would get on the MAF and throw off my readings.

And I didnt notice ANY change going from stock to K&N.....and then K&N to stock. No difference whatsoever.

OK, I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but isn't the 100K their warranty period (or maybe it's 'one million' miles?)
Still, all the same, I clean and re-oil mine every three to six months...plenty of dirt (and sand here in FL) to be washed out. I check it at least once a month and, depending on how it looks, I let it go or give it a clean and re-oil.
As stated above, best bet is to re-oil then let stand on a newspaper for an hour or so, then wipe off any excess. Excess oil can and will contaminate your MAF sensor. We haven't had that problem on our GTs, though I admit I haven't checked, but it has been reported on this forum. It's not hard to clean the MAF sensor either, but it is delicate.
