K&N Filters (and other oiled filters)

I have a question. I heard that K&N filters mess with the mass air sensor, as oil or carbon builds up over time. Maybe I'm am messing that up, and its some other sensor.

Anyone know about this? Any merit to this concern?

YES! It can be a problem if you over oil the filter. And its the MAF and the other sensor that plugs into the CAI (i forget the name of that one) Make sure and let it dry completely before installing it. It shouldnt be an issue unless there is a lot of excess oil.

Yup. Matter of fact we don't warranty any MAF we sell if the customer runs one. VW's are more touchy though.
