K&N FIPK Question

Does the top of the FIPK make contact with the hood when closed, effectively sealing the box off from engine bay air ?

Also, how much bigger is the filter, than a K&N drop in with the stock airbox ?

It makes enough contact to wear a hole in the hood liner if it's to tight.

Mine does that. I think the one that comes with the kit is a bit larger than the drop in but not much bigger.

I guess it does make contact , but it might be abad thing.

Hood liner? What's that? The soft rubber around the box on mine is gone, peeled off. Still a nice piece though.

The hood liner is the cloth like thing with the Mustang horse on it on the under-side of your hood.
