I have a crappy Cold Air Intake kit that I got off of eBay for like 25 bucks plus shipping, which started to rust. I want to upgrade to the K&N FIPK one. When searching on eBay I found two K&N ones for the v6 (mines a 2003). Is there any difference between the two(link below)? I'm gonna get the Generation 2 one since its cheaper but I assume its newer since its a generation 2....

I was just going by the descirption with one saying its a 'generation 2' and having a different picture with different bends in the piping. I dont know if its some generic picture in one of them or there are actually two different intakes that K&N makes.

I had bought the gen 2 version, the real picture of it is the $190.95 one, but it was advertised using the $179.95 picture.

just take your EBAY CAI and sand it down and paint it.

it will give just as much HP as a $180 K&N CAI

CAI's will only add 4-5rwhp no matter what brand so why spend that much money on one. put that extra money towards a nitrous kit

Eh. My EBAY CAI has some rust on it as well but only the fender plate not the piping so I don't care much.

All CAI's are the same, just some mandrel bent piping. My one friend used the CAI kit off a Honda Civic for his Dodge Intrepid. It worked, looked and sounded good.

i just use turtle wax chrome polish ,which is like $2, everytime i wash my car i use it on the intake injectors rails and other things that shine and i have had my intake from ebay almost a year and it has no rust what so ever ad believe me it gets soaked sometimes with all this rain and that stupid ass huricane. if u have rust the turtle wax chrome polish cleans that off pretty well too.

K&N FIPK is the way to go. Get that and a C&L 80mm MAF, that's good for an easy 8rwhp more or less plus it'll look & sound really good. I had a densecharger before I got this one and the K&N sounds a million time better
