Heya,
Was getting ready to pony-up (I know, I know, bad pun) for an intake kit and was wondering what are the benefits / drawbacks of both? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

my recommendation:
C&L Tru-Fit inlet pipe, C&L's 85mm mass airflow, get a 75mm throttle body, and get a performance upperintake plenum(C&L and Accufab are both phenominal... though accufab "looks" a lot better because it's more shiney)

BBK's is GARBAGE. I will LITERRALLY GIVE YOU MINE if you pay for shipping, well I'll give you whatever is left of that peice of trash... i think i still have most of the parts.... anywho... K&N's kit is plastic, and some people complained it wasnt sturdy enough.... Steeda's was pretty well made but it was expensive.... So that's why I went with C&L, also because BBK cracked my MAF housing due to it's BADNESS when I was trying to bolt it together. C&L so far has been phenominal, as far as fitment, power, and studyness. Just my .02

I don't see any con's , it does look & fit very good , quality is top notch .

I don't beleive in gain with those type of system ( CAI ) .

I went from a modified DenseCharger to the Steeda one and numbers stayed the same .

Bling , bling went up !

Oh, do have one quick follow-up question...

Are the Steeda & C&L Air Filters washable / reuseable like the K&N? Or do you have to buy a new filter after x-amount of miles? Would the K&N filter work on either of the systems as a substitute? Thanks!

I also have the steeda and like it better than the MAC that i used to have because of the fact it doesnt take the extra bend into the fender, i read that causes loss of power because of the extra bend. The filter is just a generic 8 inch (i think) filter and is reuseable if you really wanted a k and n you could probably take it to a parts place and they could match it up.

Don't waste your money on a mass airflow, the stocker is good for most N/A applications.

+1

NasaGT is right. It would take one hell of a N/A motor to peg the stock MAF. I think KenB actually did, but his car owns us all.

BTW, I also have the Steeda CAI and it is a quality piece. The filter is reusable. It look very similar to an Accel Kool Blue filter, but I can't confirm that it is.

Ha, I hardley wasted money on the aftermarket one, partly due to the fact that my stock one was cracked in half.... that was the reason why I sought out a kit that included the MAF.
