I need to get the 40 amp kb bap for my setup because I'm maxing out my pumps. I know someone that has one for sale but he's not sure if it's the 20 amp or 40 amp. Is there a way to distinguish the two? maybe a part number somewhere? he said there's a 15 and 17 on the back of the unit but that doesn't really tell me anything. I have to imagine there's got to be a way to tell the difference. Does anyone know?

I had one and wasn't able to tell the difference (20 or 40) either...sorry, no help, but I know what you mean, and what you are looking for. KB might be able to help if you can get them on the phone.

Thanks, I just got off the phone with KB and CJ said that the 40 amp has a stamp on the bottom "30-17" but wasn't sure about the 20 amp, once he told me that I was able to pull up some forum posts on google to confirm that the 20 amp is "15-17".

IIRC they are the same but the 40 amp has larger power wires.

anyways i run a 20 amp BAP on my car. i have an 8 gauge amp wire running the BAP and swapped the fuse to a 30A one.
before the BAP i was maxing the pumps at 4800 rpm, now i dont go over mid 80's on the DC

what is your fuel setup?
