I just bought some KB Super Sub Connectors for my vert and had some questions about installing them. I have a brother-in-law who is a really good welder. He wanted to know what to weld them in with so that he does not mess anything up. Can we put them on in his driveway with the car on jack stands or would it be better to just take the car someplace to have them weld them in with a car lift.

Thanks,

Rich

Can you take the car to any muffler shop to have them weld in sub frames or do you have to take to a particular place? I guess I need to start calling places in San Antonio to see how much it will cost me. If it is not that much then I may not be saving myself that much money for trying to put them on in my bother-in-laws driveway.

Thanks,

Rich

When I had subframes on my 96 the guy did it on jackstands. Although he said he had to take his time because it was hot as hell and he didnt wanna burn up the carpet on the inside. So you might wanna take up your carpet or you'll be there for awhile waiting for the welds to cool down after each one so....if you do decide to take it somewhere they will probably charge ya out the azz

Since I don't know too much about welding, I will ask this question.. Would you use the welding with the welding rod or with a torch and welding stick? Just by that last sentence, you can tell I don't know too much. haha My brother-in-law does but I don't even know how to tell him how to weld it.

Thanks,

Rich
